Daryl Sims was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. He attended Central Michigan University where he studied Construction Management. In 2012, his wife Dr. Stacy Sims completed her medical training and the family relocated to Marietta, Georgia. Daryl began the process of establishing SPM Solutions by obtaining his General Contractor license to work on residential and commercial projects in Georgia.

In the years following, Daryl Sims established himself as a first rate general contractor, by completing the construction of Two Birds Tap House.  SPM Solutions was able to convert a 100-year-old structure on the verge of demolition into a first class Gastro Pub. The company has since gone on to work on other structures on the square, recently completing the remodel of Georgia Dance Conservatory.
